This article describes the trial feature offered and how to get going with your own accsyn Workspace.

What is a trial?

It gives you the possibility to try out accsyn within your organisation before you decide to purchase a subscription.

What are the limitations?

There are no limitations when it comes to functionality with an accsyn trial - we want you to be able to try it out without any reduced functionality to be able to get the full picture of what the software can do.

Workspace types

Cloud Workspace

The default type of accsyn workspace is called a Cloud workspace. Suitable both for media production and distribution - sales, film festivals, archival:

  • Storage is securely hosted within the ISO 27001 certified premises in Stockholm, Sweden.
  • Suitable for both media production (File Sharing / Delivery features) and media distribution (Media Vault feature).

ESSENTIALS

accsyn is offered as an ESSENTIALS cloud workspace, at a reduced price and with reduced capabilites:

  • Only one(1) operator allowed.
  • 500GB restricted storage.
  • API functionality is not available.

BYOS Workspace

accsyn supports self hosted storage, this is called a BYOS Workspace (Bring-Your-Own-Storage) and is tailored for media production - shoot, DIT, post, delivery:

  • You install accsyn on your own premises, be it a physical location or cloud.
  • You serve files from your own storage  (File Sharing / Delivery features), with no limits on used space.
  • Enables advanced Workflows including Site sync, Hooks, Publishing and Compute(render) farms.

Important note: Media Vault features, including streaming and transcoding, are not available with BYOS deployments.

LITE

accsyn is offered as a BYOS LITE workspace, at a reduced price and with reduced capabilites:

  • API functionality is not available.
  • Hooks/automisations/publish is unavailable.
  • Additional operators, site servers and compute servers can still be aquired.

Enterprise Workspace

These are special deals offered on request only:

  • Mandatory for large businesses.
  • Ability to self-host the entire accsyn workspace with storage.
  • Custom features, augment code and receive custom builds.
  • Prioritised support in separate communication channels.
  • Yearly deals with custom discounts.

How do I launch the trial?

Here follows a step-by-step walkthrough on how to launch your own accsyn trial Workspace:

Create personal account

Before you can launch the trial, you need a personal accsyn user account.  That is done by opening the following URL in your browser: https://accsyn.io/signup

Launch the Cloud Workspace trial

  1. Log on to accsyn and click START 30 DAYS FREE TRIAL in the lower left corner, or visit: https://accsyn.io/trial.
  2. Go to the Cloud tab
  3. Read through the information presented and then click the START MY FREE CLOUD TRIAL button.
  4. Choose a name for your workspace, typically this would be the name of your business/organisation.
  5. Choose Cloud type.
  6. To further help us understand your needs, choose the main accsyn feature you intend to use.
  7. Read our Terms and conditions and tick the box if you agree.
  8. Click the CREATE WORKSPACE button when you are ready.

Your cloud workspace will then be created in the background, this might take up to a minute to complete.

When ready, you will be directed to the page relevant to the main feature chosen previously.

You are now all set to start trying out accsyn for the first time!

Note: The trial includes full Cloud functionality. When you later convert to a paid subscription, you choose between ESSENTIALS (reduced price and capabilities — see above) and PRO (Pay As You Go).

Launch a BYOS trial

  1. Log on to accsyn and click START 30 DAYS FREE TRIAL in the lower left corner, or visit: https://accsyn.io/trial.
  2. Go to the BYOS tab
  3. Read through the information presented and then click the START MY FREE BYOS TRIAL button.
  4. Choose a name for your workspace, typically this would be the name of your business/organisation.
  5. To further help us understand your needs, choose the main accsyn feature you intend to use.
  6. Read our Terms and conditions and tick the box if you agree.
  7. Click the CREATE WORKSPACE button when you are ready.
  8. When the workspace has been created, you will be redirected to the BYOS setup wizard that will guide you through the process of installing your server and configuring your storage volume.

Note: The trial includes full BYOS functionality. When you later convert to a paid subscription, you choose between LITE (reduced price and capabilities — see above) and PRO. Both include one (1) storage server and two (2) operator users.

Can I get help setting up a trial?

Yes, we can set up a trial in the cloud for you to test out. Simply reach out to us at support@accsyn.com.

For how long will my trial last?

It lasts for 30 days by default, from the day you finish the setup wizard.

Can I get my trial prolonged?

Yes, send an email to support@ accsyn.com stating for how long you want to extend the trial and the reason.

I love accsyn, how do I sign up?

To sign up for a paid accsyn subscription, follow these instructions.

Cloud Workspace

  1. Open the workspace menu and go to the Subscription / Sign up page, or visit https://accsyn.io/signup.
  2. On the Cloud tab, choose the plan you want:
  3. ESSENTIALS — value plan for small teams (500GB, 1 operator). API is not available.
  4. PRO Pay As You Go — flexible pricing for professionals (1TB included, 2 operators), with Media Vault streaming and related features.
  5. Click the sign up button and finalise payment via Stripe to activate the subscription.

BYOS Workspace

  1. Open the workspace menu and go to the Subscription / Sign up page (BYOS tab), or visit https://accsyn.io/signup?byos=true.
  2. Choose the BYOS plan you want:
  3. LITE — reduced price for on-prem teams. API and Hooks are not available. One (1) storage server and two (2) operator users included.
  4. PRO — full on-prem feature set. One (1) storage server and two (2) operator users included.
  5. Click the sign up button and finalise payment via Stripe to activate the subscription.

Enterprise

Please reach out to sales@accsyn.com to sign up for an Enterprise subscription deal.

accsyn was nothing for us, how do I cancel the trial?

To tear down your trial, click the workspace menu on the left and choose Delete Workspace.

Note: This cannot be undone, all workspace data will be deleted immediately.
