Trial¶

This article describes the trial feature offered and how to get going with your own accsyn Workspace.

What is a trial?¶

It gives you the possibility to try out accsyn within your organisation before you decide to purchase a subscription.

What are the limitations?¶

There are no limitations when it comes to functionality with an accsyn trial - we want you to be able to try it out without any reduced functionality to be able to get the full picture of what the software can do.

Workspace types¶

Cloud Workspace (default)¶

The default type of accsyn workspace is called a Cloud workspace. Suitable both for media production and distribution - sales, film festivals, archival:

Storage is securely hosted within the ISO 27001 certified premises in Stockholm, Sweden.
Suitable for both media production (File Sharing / Delivery features) and media distribution (Media Vault feature).

BYOS Workspace¶

accsyn supports self hosted storage, this is called a BYOS Workspace (Bring-Your-Own-Storage) and is tailored for media production - shoot, DIT, post, delivery:

You install accsyn on your own premises, be it a physical location or cloud.
You serve files from your own storage (File Sharing / Delivery features), with no limits on used space.
Enables advanced Workflows including Site sync, Hooks, Publishing and Compute(render) farms.

Important note: Media Vault features, including streaming and transcoding, are not available with BYOS deployments.

Enterprise Workspace¶

These are special deals offered on request only:

Mandatory for large businesses.
Ability to self-host the entire accsyn workspace with storage.
Custom features, augment code and receive custom builds.
Prioritised support in separate communication channels.
Yearly deals with custom discounts.

How do I launch the trial?¶

Here follows a step-by-step walkthrough on how to launch your own accsyn trial Workspace:

Create personal account¶

Before you can launch the trial, you need a personal accsyn user account. That is done by opening the following URL in your browser: https://accsyn.io/signup

Launch the Cloud Workspace trial¶

Log on to accsyn and click START 30 DAYS FREE TRIAL in the lower left corner, or visit: https://accsyn.io/trial.
Go to the Cloud tab
Read through the information presented and then click the START MY FREE CLOUD TRIAL button.
Choose a name for your workspace, typically this would be the name of your business/organisation.
Choose Cloud type.
To further help us understand your needs, choose the main accsyn feature you intend to use.
Read our Terms and conditions and tick the box if you agree.
Click the CREATE WORKSPACE button when you are ready.

Your cloud workspace will then be created in the background, this might take up to a minute to complete.

When ready, you will be directed to the page relevant to the main feature chosen previously.

You are now all set to start trying out accsyn for the first time!

Launch a BYOS trial¶

Log on to accsyn and click START 30 DAYS FREE TRIAL in the lower left corner, or visit: https://accsyn.io/trial.
Go to the BYOS tab
Read through the information presented and then click the START MY FREE BYOS TRIAL button.
Choose a name for your workspace, typically this would be the name of your business/organisation.
To further help us understand your needs, choose the main accsyn feature you intend to use.
Read our Terms and conditions and tick the box if you agree.
Click the CREATE WORKSPACE button when you are ready.
When the workspace has been created, you will be redirected to the BYOS setup wizard that will guide you through the process of installing your server and configuring your storage volume.

Can I get help setting up a trial?¶

Yes, we can set up a trial in the cloud for you to test out. Simply reach out to us at support@accsyn.com.

For how long will my trial last?¶

It lasts for 30 days by default, from the day you finish the setup wizard.

Can I get my trial prolonged?¶

Yes, send an email to support@ accsyn.com stating for how long you want to extend the trial and the reason.

To sign up for a paid accsyn subscription, follow these instructions.

Cloud Workspace¶

Head over to https://accsyn.io/signup
Choose the cloud subscription that you want to sign up for.
Click the sign up button at the bottom of the page.

You will be redirected to our payment service powered by Stripe, finalise the purchase to activate the subscription.

BYOS & Enterprise¶

Please reach out to sales@accsyn.com to sign up for the subscription deal.

accsyn was nothing for us, how do I cancel the trial?¶

To tear down your trial, click the workspace menu on the left and choose Delete Workspace.

Note: This cannot be undone, all workspace data will be deleted immediately.
