Work with titles and media
This guides describes the TITLES view in the accsyn Desktop app - how to navigate and find the information you need.
Starting view - the Title grid
When you login to the accsyn Desktop app (and select a non BYOS workspace), you will land on the titles page:
On the top you will find the toolbar:
Search titles; Enter search text and press ENTER to search the title library - filter by name.
New title; Create a new title.
Media selectors; For all titles, show specific type of media. For example click the DCP button to show all DCP:s across all titles.
All; Bring up the advanced media tag selector panel.
Search media: search all media in the titles library, for example enter "mov" to view all media having "mov" in its filename.
Reload; Refresh workspace titles.
Below it, all titles are displayed as cover images with their name and release date below.
Click on a title to open the title view, click the + button to create a new title.
Title view
The title view displays the titles and all associated media within:
Title banner
The top of the title view is occupied by the title banner - were title and media info is displayed.
Click the IMDB button to open the title in IMDB.
Click the pencil (edit) button to edit/remove the title.
Media tag filters
The next panel is the advanced Media tag filters, by default this is displayed for administrators but hidden employees. Here you make detailed media filtering based on the accsyn title media tagging subsystem:
Click on each pulldown menu to select a tag value to filter on.
Click on Clear selection button to reset all tag selectors.
Clock on the refresh button to reload the tags from central accsyn master registry.
Click on the minus (-) button to hide the advanced tag selector.
Toolbar
The toolbar contains title and media quick selectors and search:
Grid icon; Reset title/tag selection and go back to the title grid view.
Title selector; A pulldown menu were you can change the selected title.
Edit title button; Click to edit/remove the title.
Media selectors; For all titles, show specific type of media. For example click the DCP button to show all DCP:s within titles.
All; Bring up the advanced media tag selector panel (hidden when media tag filter panel is visible).
Upload; Click to upload files to the title Untagged or Sales folder.
Search media: search all media in the titles library, for example enter "mov" to view all media having "mov" in its filename.
Refresh media; Reload all media beneath title.

Media list
The media table lists all media matching title and/or filters:
Top row:
Media selector; Click this checkbox to select the media.
Type icon; Shows what type of media it is.
Media filename; The name of the media file on disk.
Tags; The media tags, edit media to change tags.
Proxy icons; Indicates which proxies the media has. If they are in orange color, proxy are being transcoded in the background.
Duration; (Video and sound only) The duration of the media.
Size; The size of the media file or folder.
Bottom row:
File type icon (file or folder) and folder which media resides in.
Media filename; The strict media filename generated from tags, this are the name newly transcoded media gets during for example VOD processing of master media.
Upload media
When a title is selected, files can be uploaded to the title by clicking the upload button in the toolbar:
Choose Upload to Untagged title folder to upload files to the standard location for new media, or choose Upload to Sales title folder to upload arbitrary title sales material.
The standard accsyn file upload dialog will be presented were you will have to browse and select the local files and folders to upload.

Mange titles
To modify a title, click the pencil symbol just next to the title selector or click the pencil symbol in the title banner in the top area.
Here you can change the attributes of the title, each entry will be save immediately as a field looses focus.
Set a custom cover image
The title cover image can be customised, just click the pencil edit icon on the cover and select a local .JPG or .PNG asset with optimal resolution and aspect of 175x240 pixels.
To restore the cover image to the default as fetched from IMDB, click the undo icon just right to the edit icon.
Set a custom title banner image
When you view a title and it's media content, the top section is called the title banner. It can be customised - simply click the pencil icon in the upper right corner and select a local .JPG or .PNG asset with optimal resolution and aspect of 1800x200 (9:1) pixels.
To remove/clear the banner image once set, click the cross/remove button in the upper right corner next to the edit icon.
Remove a title
To remove a title, you first need to remove all media beneath it. That can be done by selecting all media, right click and select Remove.
