Create a title
Getting started creating your first accsyn title and upload media to accsyn.
Preparations:
Download and install the accsyn Desktop app.
Open the app and login as a user having the administrator role.
Make sure you are on a media add-on trial or have a permanent media add-on license.
Create title
Go to the TITLES tab in accsyn app, it should display empty.
Click on the empty [+] card or New title in toolbar.
Check if the title is already known to accsyn, e.g. it has been created previously in the platform. If so choose it beneath Select an existing accsyn title.
If not, locate the movie on IMDB and copy the URL from your browser address bar and paste it in the New title IMDB ID field.
Click Next, the cover image should be downloaded and presented, you can change it by clicking the pencil icon on the cover image. Here you can also set a banner image - prepare a jpeg with 9:1 proportions (optimal) and set it by clicking the pencil symbol in the upper right corner.
Now you need to decide the name of the title folder on your storage, we recommend using the same name as the title but without any non-US characters and hyphens (', " and so on). If you already have created a folder, browse and select it at Use existing folder at storage.
Leave Apply title template folder structure checked, to have a well organised folder structure being created on the storage. This is required if you intend to utilise the accsyn Lab services, as the team needs to work in a familiar environment.
Click Next to bring up the title editor, here you can enter additional title attributes as needed, or finalise it later by editing the title. Note that many of these fields are required to be present if the accsyn Exporters are going to function properly. See below for a detailed description of the different attributes.
Click Create title to create the title at your workspace and deploy the folder structure. If it is a title unknown to accsyn, it will also be created centrally in the platform.
Title attributes:
Any attributes you feel are missing? Reach out to us and we will add them.
A standard title sub-folder structure is deployed when a new title is created, making it easy to get started organizing your media deliverables:
- Here is were you upload your title media for ingestion into accsyn. Within this folder you are free to choose whatever structure that suits you.
- Here is were you upload sales material related to the title, e.g. non media files associated with the title.
Later when title media is tagged, more folders will be created with names based on the type and category of the media like for example "dcp", "vod" an so on.
